LANDSCAPE AND GARDEN DESIGN

With Us, Nature Is Art

Sarah, our owner, and lead designer listens to your goals and ideas for your landscape or garden project and crafts a customized plan for your home and style.

When planning your new landscape and garden designs, we give you:

  • a detailed aerial hand drawing

  • vegetation and ground cover photos, color palette, and mood board

  • step-by-step project outline, including price and payment options

Our custom landscape and garden designs will separate your yard from your neighbors. This can be important in a neighborhood with close neighbors because standing out among the rest will help define your home and personality to be uniquely your own! At Hager Outdoor we combine annual and perennial plants and shrubs in your landscapes and gardens.

Annual Plants

Annual plants are plants with a life cycle that lasts only one year. They grow from seed, bloom, produce seeds, and die in one growing season. Annuals need to be planted each Spring.

Most annuals bloom for the length of the growing season. They provide beautiful colors from spring through fall and are popular with flower gardeners. Some favorite annuals are hyacinth bean, impatients, and zinnias.

Perennial Plants

Perennial plants live for more than two years. They return year after year and continue growing until they reach maturity, which varies by plant but averages three to five years.

The term perennial refers to herbaceous (green) plants since woody plants, such as trees, are perennial by definition.

Unlike annuals, perennials tend to bloom for just a short time — one to three weeks — each year. Examples of popular perennial flowers include tulips, asters, black-eyed Susan’s, coneflowers, and hydrangeas.
