Eric and Sarah started building their small business dream in 2017. After months of praying, planning, and strategizing, Eric left his job as the Bookstore Manager at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and UNMC to chase his entrepreneurial dreams with Sarah, and she only poured ‘fuel on the fire’!

 

Landscaping and flowers have been Sarah's dream since she won top achievements for a flower shop business plan her senior year of high school. Combined with Eric’s strong business acumen, extensive experience running large, successful business operations, a strong family entrepreneurial history, and a desire to spend more time together, this became our perfect storm to start Hager Outdoor Services.

 

As owner-operators, Hager Outdoor is ran differently than many other lawn and landscape companies. When you call us, you’ll most likely talk to Sarah, and she will set up your initial consultation. Eric and Sarah work alongside other members of our team while on your property. Eric and Sarah will even prepare your invoicing and receipts. We are vested in every angle of our business because we strive for perfection in the products, services, and communication we offer—every detail from the first point of contact matters to us. Hager Outdoor is our life’s work!

 

When we’re not working on building our company, we love spending as much time with our three daughters as possible! The Fall of 2021 will mark our 7th year of homeschooling our kids, and we love the challenges of teaching and learning with our children. Eric takes the lead on science, math, art, and daily motivation for all of us, while Sarah focuses her energy on reading, writing, history, music, and language arts.

 

In addition to our three daughters, we have an Australian Shepherd named Blue, two Miniature Dachshunds named Broccoli, and Gator, and a flock of backyard ducks. We have a house full of love, chaos, and plenty of noise, but also plenty of motivation to always strive for the safest, environmentally friendly outdoor spaces for our customers. 

Hager Outdoor has Nebraska Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Applicator Licenses, Nebraska Department of Agriculture Nursery Stock Distributor License, BBB Accreditation: A+ Rating, HomeAdvisor Screened & Approved, and is insured locally through Farmer’s Insurance.
